What is Cannabinoid (CBD)?
CBD stands for cannabidiol (can·na·bid·i·ol). Cannabinoids are active and medically beneficial compounds in both cannabis and hemp plants. They help our bodies maintain balance (homeostasis) and are similar function to endogenous cannabinoids, which the body makes it self.

  • The active compound in hemp and cannabis are called "cannabinoids."

  • Human beings, and many living creatures, have natural bodily systems that use CBD.

  • The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is the primary system that uses CBD.

  • CBD is non-euphoric.

How it works?
CBD appears to play a role in regulating the transmission chemical signals throughout the body. Cannabinoids interact with a vital regulatory system in our body called the endocannabinoids system (ECS).

Five key conditions are the main reasons you'll find CBD a healer for your body, mind and soul. The first three, Inflammation, Stress, and Insomnia. These three conditions immediately trigger two more: Anxiety and Depression.
CBD's role as total-body remedy is to eliminate this three-plus-two equation from your life-and help you thrive.

Inflammation
CBD is found to help stimulate the endocannabinoid receptor CB2, which has protective anti-inflammatory effects. An NIH-supported study published in 2018 in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research reported that when CBD was used to relieve the inflammatory joint pain for arthritis, most patients reported it working "very well' or " moderately well' without the use of other supplemental drugs like over-the- counter ibuprofen or prescriptive steroids.

Stress
Chronic stress has been shown to alter and decrease endocannabinoid activity and tone-or its well-balanced operation. CBD. along with certain other beneficial hemp plant chemicals called terpenes, may help boost endocannabinoid function and effect its release of the soothing natural chemicals serotonin and dopamine through the 5-HT1A receptor.

Sleep Deprivation
As a sleep aid, CBD supports endocannabinoid receptors to reduce stress and anxiety, key to getting shut-eye.

Anxiety
As with stress, CBD also works to help the 5-HT1A receptor release calming and dopamine. Two terpenes in the hemp plant support this action: Limonene also, prevent in citrus and responsible for its scent, it known to improve mood; and linalool, a component of lavender, it hailed as a stress reliever and anxiety calmer.

Depression
As with stress and anxiety, depression may be related to poor endocannabinoid tone and function. Studies show that, like commercial antidepressants, CBD may enhance the receptors that release soothing dopamine and serotonin.

Is CBD Safe?
The answer is yes! Aside from the long list of medical applications and conditions CBD can help treat, another reason CBD has proven to be so powerful in the medical area is that it is very safe.
Knowledge is empowering. It can help you to feel more "in control" of your condition and impact it has on your life and that your family. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
